Building a brighter future for family & community

Since 1910 this movement has continued to spear head the fight for equality and economic empowerment in our communities. The indiscretions that come with being a person of color in this country have a lasting impact on every soul that has experienced the ugly face of racism, inequality, and economic disparities. Basic civil and human rights continue to be a long-fought battle for the Urban League and its affiliates. It has been my mission not only to fight for my community’s right to be a professional, to be an entrepreneur, but most of all to make a life for themselves that is not overshadowed by the burdens of systemic failures and clearly serious contraventions.

As vice president, my top priority is to continue developing efficiencies, maintaining transparency and building a resilient organizational structure for the operations of our chapter. I will incorporate standardized workflows, develop governance documentation, and create a best practices repository to strengthen member and leadership participation in the movement. Organizational structure has been an issue for this chapter, and I believe having an agile project management perspective to establish quality streamlined processes will accomplish our objectives in the best manner.
