Curtis Porter III
Candidate for Co-Director Social and Cultural Development
In Hartford there is need for a space for black young professionals to come together for a variety of things. This could be socially, politically, or for philanthropy to name just a few. Exposing our youth to the variety of professions that they may or may not be exposed to helps expand their reach for what the future may hold for them in the future. So keeping our young professionals socially connected will provide the space for organic brainstorming and collaboration.
Hartford resident who works at CREC Hartford Region Open Choice Program as the family engagement specialist. Outside of work Curtis is active in the community currently serving as Co-Director of Social & Cultural for the YP, Chair for the City of
Hartford LGBTQ+ Commission, and sitting on various boards such as the Hartford Gay & Lesbian Health Collective, Education Resources for Children in Enfield, and his fraternity Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc.
